Ag Digest is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information responsibly. We store the data needed to operate our free and paid features on our servers and with a small number of trusted service providers. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google, basic profile information Google provides such as your name, email address, and profile picture. Keyed to your account, we store data such as your profile details, saved articles, votes, and community contributions (for example, translations and wiki edits). If you subscribe to a paid plan, we also store a subscription record that includes your email address, Stripe customer ID, Stripe subscription ID, plan, status, and renewal date.
We use the data we store to provide and personalize our services — for example, to authenticate you, save your bookmarks and votes, maintain your profile, manage community contributions, and administer your subscription and billing. We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to operating Ag Digest without your consent.
Authentication and account storage are provided by Supabase, our infrastructure provider. If you choose to sign in with Google, Google authenticates you and shares limited profile information with us as described above; Ag Digest never receives your Google password. Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google’s own privacy policy.
Paid subscriptions are processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Stripe handles your full card details directly; we do not store your card number. We retain limited billing information such as your email address, Stripe identifiers, plan, status, and renewal date in order to manage your subscription.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how our platform is used. This service uses cookies and collects usage and device information, such as the pages you view, your general location, browser, and device type. This helps us improve the product.
To provide English and Korean versions of articles, we send article text to Google Cloud Translation, which generates machine translations. This processing is used to produce translated content within Ag Digest.
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in (authentication session cookies), remember preferences such as your theme and language, and measure usage through Google Analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling some cookies may affect how the service works.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that help us operate Ag Digest — such as Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Google for sign-in, Stripe for payments, Google Analytics for usage measurement, and Google Cloud Translation for machine translation — and only as needed to provide those functions.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction. Account, usage, and subscription data is stored on our servers and with the service providers described above. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us at support@shmaplex.com, or by managing your account settings where available. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize your personal data, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, billing records) by law.
